Xiamen to welcome Crystal Symphony next spring

Xiamen: Xiamen is becoming a more popular homeport for international cruise lines.

Crystal Symphony, the sister ship of Crystal Serenity and Crystal Harmony, owned and operated by US-headquartered Crystal Cruise Lines, is scheduled to launch a cruise route linking Hong Kong, Xiamen, Shanghai, Dalian and Tianjin from March to April in 2013. Currently Crystal Cruise Lines has commissioned China Ocean Shipping Agency Xiamen to apply for the routes with Ministry of Transport.

Found in 1988, Crystal Cruise Lines is a wholly owned subsidiary of Japanese shipping company Nippon Yusen Kaisha.
According to the Xiamen International Cruise Terminal, 20 cruise liners are expected to berth in Xiamen by the end of the year, carrying more than 30,000 passengers. [22/11/12]
