Yamamaru Kisen is attempting to sell a 12-year-old supramax for the third time in six months.
Data from VesselsValue shows that the 56 000 dwt Torenia supramax fetched $11.3m in September and $300,000 less in December. Now the ship is noted by broking sources as sold again for $9.5m.
Sources suggest Astra Shipmanagement is the likely taker of the ship. The ship will join five other similar sized but slightly older bulkers at teh Greek outfit.
Astra Shipmanagement was established by brothers Aris and Stefanos Koropoulis of the Martinos shipping family. The 10-ship strong outfit was launched six years ago to manage bulkers and containerships while it diversified into tankers in 2018, buying three MR tankers to date.
