Taipei: Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp is confident that results in containershipping will improve quarter by quarter this year.
“The business in the first quarter this year will be slightly better than the same period last year,” Yang Ming chairman Frank Lu told reporters yesterday.
The aim for Yang Ming this year is to get back into the black, Lu said. The $300 raise being pushed forward on the transpacific would be vital, Lu argued.
Lu said he expected more boxships to be scrapped in 2014 than last year. [19/02/14]
