Yinson awarded $5.4bn FPSO contract by Petrobras

Malaysian FPSO operator Yinson Holdings has been awarded two letters of intent by Petrobras for the charter, operations and maintenance of FPSO Marlim 2 for the Marlim revitalisation project in Brazil.

The contract period is for 25 years and total value of the contract is $5.4bn. FPSO Marlim 2 will be Yinson’s largest project to date and first vessel to operate in Brazil waters.

“This project further cements Yinson’s position as a global FPSO player, demonstrating the industry’s increasing confidence in our ability to deliver projects on time, and thereafter to maintain our excellent uptime and safety track record,” said Lim Chern Yuan, CEO of Yinson Group.

Earlier this month, Yinson secured a charter contract extension with Petrovietnam Technical Services Corp (PTSC) for operations at the Lam Son Field.
