Zeaborn jettisons Rickmers name in Singapore

Rickmers Shipmanagement (Singapore) has now been renamed Zeaborn Ship Management (Singapore). The company has been part of Bremen-based Zeaborn Group for the past 12 months, one of the great consolidation forces in German shipping this decade.

Zeaborn has now bundled all its shipmanagement acquisitions under the brand Zeaborn Ship Management with headquarters in Hamburg and an Asian head office in Singapore. It manages more than 150 ships, mainly container vessels and bulkers with some MPPs and has 300 staff onshore and around 4,550 at sea.

Singapore operations are now managed by Charan Singh. Singh had previously been with another Zeaborn acquisition, ER Schiffahrt.

“Our common brand is the visible sign that clients can expect the same high quality ship management, regardless where they buy our services. We meet the individual needs of our customers all over the world,” commented Nils Aden, CEO of Zeaborn Ship Management.
