Dalian: Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries, the leading Chinese port machinery manufacturer, is planning to give priority to the development of high-end offshore products, such as offshore drilling platforms, offshore engineering vessels and offshore equipment.
The traditional shipbuilding industry in China is facing great pressure at present, while the nation has issued plans to fully develop the ocean economy and marine energy resources. “Large-sized offshore products will be a potential market for the company to develop,” said Zhao Fangfang, an official from Zhenhua.
Currently, the company is planning to build many jack-up platforms. [27/10/14]
