Zhongtian Technology orders three offshore wind vessels at CMHI

Chinese telecom and cable equipment manufacturer Zhongtian Technology has placed an order at China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI) for the construction of two wind turbine installation vessels and one crane vessel.

The vessels will be built at CMHI’s Jiangsu offshore yard and will be used to serve the offshore engineering demands from the fast developing domestic offshore wind farms.

The contract details were not disclosed.

In March, Zhongtian Technology entered into the offshore engineering sector by setting up a new offshore base at Yangkou Port in Jiangsu to support the Jiangsu Rudong offshore wind farm, China’s largest offshore wind farm so far.
