Singapore: KS Energy has tapped Shanghai Zhenhua Industry Co to build a Friede & Goldman JU-2000E jack-up drilling rig. The order comes with an option for one more rig.
The confirmed rig will be delivered in 27 months time and KS Energy now has six months to ink the optional one. Each rig is costing $199.2m.
KS Energy in a release to the Singapore Stock Exchange said it considers the commercial terms of the transactions to be “attractive in the current market conditions”.[24/06/14]
