ZPMC secures Croatia project cargo shipping contract

ZPMC Logistics, the logistics unit of Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC), has secured a contract to transport equipment for Croatia’s Peljesac Bridge project.

ZPMC will be responsible for the transportation of 21 oversize tubular piles to support the construction of the bridge using its heavy lift vessels.

In January last year, China Road & Bridge Corporation won the tender to construct the phase one project of the bridge, which is scheduled to be completed in 2021. First conceived in 2007, the 2.5 km long bridge has faced many delays.

Zhenhua Shipping, the heavy lift shipping unit of ZPMC, runs a fleet of 20 heavy lift vessels.
