Description
- Coordinate and Arrange Voyage Logistics: You will be responsible for arranging all necessary components of a voyage, including appointing shipping agents, organizing bunker replenishment, and managing weather routing appointments.
- Ensure Compliance and Guided Operations: Make sure that voyage instructions are followed, and guide vessel masters in line with governing Charter Party agreements.
- Schedule Maintenance: Promptly maintain and update vessel schedules to enhance schedule integrity and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Purchasers and Vessel Superintendent: Liaise with purchasers and vessel Superintendent to plan loading/unloading/transshipment of stores and spares effectively.
- Monitor and Analyze Fuel Consumption: Review actual fuel consumption against budgeted figures to optimize cost-effectiveness in operations.
- Effective Communication: Engage in clear and concise communication with vessel masters, owners/charterers, brokers, and port agents.
- Monitor Vessel Movement and Performance: Track and report vessel movements and performance to relevant stakeholders.
- Dispute Resolution: In the event of disputes with counterparty involving cargo damage, lay-time, underperformance, etc., engage in communication for settlement based on the Charter Party terms.
- Clerical Responsibilities: Maintain shipping documents and accurately input voyage data into business applications.
Requirements:
- A degree in Maritime Studies or equivalent qualifications.
- At least 2 years of experience in a related field. Entry-level candidates with the right qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
