Reception at Fullerton’s Post Bar
Maritime CEO Forum is returning to Singapore in April for Singapore Maritime Week.
The event is designed as the anti-shipping conference, in that it will be a half-day with panels packed full of shipowner and shipmanager CEOs. No presentations, no slides, no selling, just the top people in the industry discussing pressing issues.
Maritime CEO Forum will be limited in size to ensure all attendees can make the most of the day, network and then attendees can relax at the afterparty at the Fullerton’s Post Bar which will include additional invited guests.
12:00pm: Preparing for 2020
Preparing for 2020. In association with Cockett Marine Oil, the Maritime CEO Forum has created this useful workshop with experts on hand to advise owners and managers on key steps to sulphur cap implementation – looking at fuel and lube choices and how to handle the new blends onboard.
1:00pm: Registration and Refreshments
2:00pm: Ask the analyst
An opening 30-minute Q&A salvo with Ralph Leszczynski, global head of research at Banchero Costa, where moderator Sam Chambers and guests will quiz the analyst on the markets.
2:30pm: Tanker Market Outlook
Mark O’Neil, the president of Columbia Shipmanagement, makes his forum debut, presiding over a stellar panel of tanker owners, asking how changing global patterns are extending ton-miles, why next year could be a winning one for tankers, and which tanker sector will gain the most from the sulphur cap.
3:30pm: Coffee Break
4:00pm: Digital on Deck
Well known maritime tech commentator Neville Smith hosts this year’s digital debate, aiming to take the discussion beyond the normal ‘aren’t-we-behind-others’ debate to look at how we can harness and standardise the digital revolution sweeping through shipping.
5:00pm: Dry Bulk Market Outlook
Ever present moderator Tim Huxley from Mandarin Shipping brings his wry, engaging style to proceedings, asking the tough questions – why has the slump been so protracted, can capes bounce back and should we be worried by a slowing Chinese economy.
6:00pm: Cocktail Reception at Post Bar
Come along to one of Singapore’s most famous bars for drinks and networking at the Fullerton.
