  • Gather and develop diverse market information to support the acquisition of new business or employment opportunities for vessels.
  • Cultivate relationships with both new and existing customers and brokers to foster and explore potential business prospects.
  • Foster and sustain effective relationships with industry peers and internal stakeholders to stay abreast of market developments and capitalize on new business openings.
  • Manage a customer database portfolio to monitor and enhance customer relationship management (CRM) effectiveness.
  • Conduct research and analyze potential business projects to understand challenges, value propositions, risks, mitigations, and key success factors.
  • Aid in the development of project timelines and business proposals by coordinating with relevant departments and business units.
  • Assist in reviewing project economics and scenario analyses to determine justifiable proposed charter hire rates.
  • Prepare Management Committee (MC) or Board of Directors (BOD) papers regarding potential opportunities and business participation plans.
  • Collaborate with the Manager in negotiating TCP terms, conditions, and charter hires with potential charterers until agreements are reached and finalized.
  • Execute CRM activities to retain existing customers and cultivate new ones to ensure sustainable business growth.
  • Engage with clients and brokers.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant work experience, with at least three (3) years in the maritime logistics industry, preferably including business development, commercial, negotiation, and/or risk management experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or Engineering.
  • Functional Competencies of planning & analytical thinking, commercial and business knowledge, customer relationship management.
  • Leadership competencies of entrepreneurship, strategic agility, and relationship building.
