Deputy GM, Singapore (3431)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an international shipping service provider who is looking for a Deputy General Manager to join their team in Singapore.

Supporting the MD, you will work on day to day matters, as well as establishing and maintaining client relationships, implementing the business development strategy and preparing / participating in proposals for clients in the APAC region.

To be qualified for this role, you must have management level experience with a ship owner, ship manager or classification society and be experienced in interpreting maritime laws, regulations and codes.

You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and have the ability to work efficiently in a high paced environment, prioritise work and meet deadlines within a team-focused setting.  Given the nature of the job, candidates with experience working in a registry / classification society and a Maritime related degree or diploma are preferred, but it is not essential.  An understanding of ship finance would also be beneficial.

This role is open to candidates already working in Singapore.
