HSEQ Superintendent

JOB SUMMARY
EQ8 Recruit has been engaged exclusively by a world leading LNG vessel owner to help recruit an HSEQ Superintendent to be based in London, United Kingdom. This is a unique opportunity to join the exciting world of LNG.

This role would suit a candidate with HSEQ shore-based experience working with any vessel type, but LNG and Tanker experience would be advantageous.

Our client is a world leading LNG vessel owner that is focused on delivering eco-friendly energy to the world. Their aim is to be the number one LNG operator for safe operation, quality management, cost competitiveness and customer satisfaction.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:-

• Senior Deck or Engineering officer or equivalent higher-level education (BA/BSc Degree).
• Accredited vessel auditor with ISM/ISO certification.
• 1 to 3 years previous experience in an HSE & QA position with relevant vessel audit exposure.
• Right to live and work in the UK is preferred, but not a requirement as our client will sponsor a visa for the successful candidate.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:-

• Planning Responsibilities
• Develops Safety Awareness Program’s;
• Reviewing the processes of Near Misses, Accidents, and Incidents;
• Interfacing with Regulatory Agencies: Class and Flag State Administrations to manage compliance of the fleet;
• Plans audits of assigned vessels and office according to ISM/ISO requirements.
• Operational Responsibilities
• Promote Health and Safety as Corporate Values;
• Interfaces with Managers, Fleet Managers, responsible Vessel Managers, Marine Superintendents, ships officers and crews on HSEQ issues;
• Assists with supervision of the MOC process.
