JOB SUMMARY
EQ8 Recruit is partnering with a global LNG vessel owner to find an experienced HSEQ Superintendent for their London, United Kingdom office. This is your opportunity to make a significant impact in the dynamic LNG sector. We are seeking a candidate with relevant shore-based HSEQ experience (not HSEQ support).  LNG and Tanker vessel experience is highly advantageous, however, candidates with HSEQ expertise from any vessel type will be considered.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:-

  • Senior Deck or Engineering officer, or equivalent higher-level education (BA/BSc Degree).
  • Accredited vessel auditor with ISM/ISO certification.
  • 1 to 3 years of prior experience in an HSE & QA role, with exposure to vessel audits.
  • Preferred: Right to live and work in the UK; however, visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Planning Responsibilities:

  • Developing Safety Awareness Programs.
  • Reviewing Near Misses, Accidents, and Incidents processes.
  • Engaging with Regulatory Agencies (Class and Flag State Administrations) to ensure fleet compliance.
  • Planning audits for assigned vessels and offices in line with ISM/ISO requirements.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Championing Health and Safety as core corporate values.
  • Collaborating with Managers, Fleet Managers, responsible Vessel Managers, Marine Superintendents, and ship officers and crews on HSEQ matters.
  • Providing support in supervising the MOC (Management of Change) process.
