Description

  • Strategically plan and oversee the execution of Condition Survey/Audit assignments in accordance with the annual Audit Plan and budget to ensure the efficacy of existing controls, risks, and governance framework pertaining to the company’s ships & floaters and their operational management.
  • Develop annual Audit & Assurance initiatives, plans, and budget to support the Group’s business growth, meet customer requirements, and address operational needs.
  • Strategize and execute audit assignments as outlined in the annual Audit Plan and budget, which includes conducting audits, compiling audit reports, and presenting management reports (e.g., Board Audit Committee, Management Audit Committee, etc.).
  • Monitor and follow up on corrective actions or enhancements with auditees to mitigate risks or improve internal controls and management systems relevant to the assigned focus audit area.
  • Identify and update audit reports, audit tools/templates, standards, technical and industry developments, as well as compliance governance/regulations (e.g., national and international regulations such as IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM, ISPS, EMS codes, Safety Management System, Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) regulations) pertaining to the assigned focus audit area to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of service deliverables.
  • Provide recommendations for improving the Audit & Assurance framework, policies, and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience in the maritime or oil & gas industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Studies, or a related discipline, or Maritime professional qualifications; Certificate of Competency in Deck or Engine (Class 1).
  • Professional audit qualification/certification in maritime-related assurance (OVID/OCIMF, ISPS, ISM) is an added advantage.
