Operations – Fleet Performance (Dry Bulk), Mumbai (3449)

This international shipping organisation requires an experienced Operator for its Fleet Performance team in Mumbai.

This is an exciting opportunity to join this company in a varied role, where you will be well rewarded.

Using your seafaring experience as a Chief or Second Engineer, you will monitor real-time performance of the fleet and analyse data on voyages completed to assess efficiency.  Working closely with the Operations and Technical Teams, you will oversee performance claims, guide on handling disputes and evaluation of weather routing services.  You will also identify vessels for investigative bunker surveys, and manage the coordination of same.

Personal strengths will include attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and adapt to unforeseen changes.  Candidates should enjoy working in a challenging commercial environment and have the ability to meet deadlines and targets.

Experience with effective ship routing, liquid cargo measurements and proficiency in bunkering operations, conducting bunker surveys is required, as well as commercial acumen for performance related C/P clauses.

Preference will be given to applicants already based in Mumbai.
