Description
Our client is an established and expanding shipping group, looking for an Operations Supervisor to join the team in Shanghai managing the operational activities of the offshore fleet.
Ensuring the fleet is competently manned and operated to complete the commercial project, within budget, you will:
- Supervise the daily operational activities of the vessels
- Follow up on off-hire and certificates
- Approve port disbursements
- Communicate promptly with Masters and Clients, to continually improve the service provided
- Monitor manning levels in compliance with international and Flag State legislation
- Assist with crew budget preparation and performance
As a Chief Officer or Master of offshore vessels for at least two years, it is essential to have experience as an Operations Superintendent of cable laying vessels for at least one year.
Strong communication skills are essential, with fluency in Mandarin and English, and you must be able to adapt to a changing work schedule and be well organised.
Candidates already living in Shanghai or looking to return will be prioritised.
