Marine Technical Superintendent - Port Engineer
Toledo, OH
We're looking for an experienced marine engineer or naval architect to join this US flag ship owning group. You will manage all shore side technical support for a fleet of dry bulk vessels.
Primary responsibilities:
- Manage and support all technical matters, planned maintenance, repairs, inspections, surveys, for assigned vessels
- Work with the vessel crews to ensure repairs and planned maintenance is scheduled and performed as required.
- Provide technical support and be a resource to vessel crews as the shore side liaison
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of practical Marine Engineering experience - at sea or ashore
- University degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture preferred
- Sailing time as a Licensed Marine Engineer preferred
- Previous work experience as a Port Engineer / Technical Superintendent is preferred.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Flexibility to travel.
- Work authorization for the United States is required.
