Hiring now for a leading maritime organisation managing government and commercial ocean-going vessels. We are seeking an experienced Port Engineer to work remotely from home (US Based). This challenging role involves daily management of a Military Sealift Command vessel, including overseeing shipyard projects and dry dockings. Key Responsibilities: Manage and negotiate shipyard dry-docking projects exceeding three million dollars. Ensure safe, efficient project execution and technical compliance. Provide remote support from a home office and on-site assistance as needed. Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and safety standards. Prepare and manage project records, reports, and budgets. Stay updated on industry trends and technology advancements. Qualifications: Minimum three years' Port Engineer experience with a record of managing shipyard projects. Four years' experience aboard ocean-going ships as Chief Engineer or First Assistant Engineer. Seven years' total experience, including relevant education or shipyard/military experience. Strong project management skills and technical knowledge. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
