Project Manager – Offshore Installation

Direct Search Global is working with a fast-growing maritime company to fill the role of Project Manager (Offshore Installation Projects) in their Malaysia office. 

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the planning, execution, and delivery of marine projects, such as shipbuilding, offshore construction, subsea cable installation, and offshore wind power. He/She liaises with clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to ensure the project meets the technical, quality, safety, and environmental standards. Must also be well versed in Offshore vessels and their functions.

The incumbent is also responsible for managing the project budget, schedule, resources, and risks, and reports on the project progress and performance.

Job Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree or higher in marine engineering, naval architecture, or a related field

Relevant experience in the marine industry. He/She should have strong project management, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, as well as knowledge of marine equipment, systems, and regulations. He/She should also be adaptable to working in challenging offshore environments and under tight deadlines.

This role requires travelling for site visit and projects.
