Description
Great opportunity to join this well-reputed shipping organization as a Purchasing Executive.
In this role, you will be in charge of the purchasing of equipment, ships spares and stores with the local and global approved suppliers. That includes sourcing, evaluating, negotiating with the suppliers, interviewing the vendors and examining the products as well as any discussion regarding defective or unacceptable goods or services that requires corrective action.
You are also responsible to coordinate with the logistics company for goods delivery and ensure that the delivery schedule is met.
To be suitable for this role, you should have:
- Min Diploma in Procurement / Marine / Engineering or equivalent certifications
- Preferred 2 years relevant working experience in a similar capacity preferably in Marine industry
- Excellent communications and negotiation skills
- Able to work well under stress in a fast-paced environment
- Singaporean or Singapore PR
