The Rental Asset Manager is directly accountable for oversight of the rental business assets including; achieving the availability and quality targets, oversight of asset maintenance and condition, managing the asset operating budget, achieving customer satisfaction objectives, and maximizing operational efficiencies of the assets of the rental fleet.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY: 

The Rental Asset Manager will be directly responsible for achieving the highest possible utilization uptime and maintenance turn-around period for the rental boilers and associated equipment. This person will have extensive knowledge of all equipment in the rental fleet and will be actively involved in all aspects of the rental process & timing in order to achieve the maintenance and availability goals as set by the organization. The position will interact with the company’s various departments including Sales, Parts, Service, Finance, and Project Management.  The Rental Asset Manager will also make asset purchase recommendations to improve the financial returns of the overall rental business.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Determine/understand equipment needs through questioning and qualifying with President; provide maintenance and asset demands to meet enterprise goals and manage asset maintenance projects with service team.
  • Manage the purchase of necessary components for asset maintenance.
  • Maintain all necessary asset information needed to define a quality asset project list for review by the enterprise leadership team.
  • Communicate with leadership thoughts on asset purchase requirements. Identify needs based on market demands and build the appropriate business case for a positive return on investment.
  • Administer all aspects of rental asset operations ensuring the assets are meeting client objectives in uptime and availability.
  • Addresses customer questions and concerns in a professional manner in order to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the customer and Company.
  • Support sales and marketing efforts by performing prospecting calls, forwarding sales leads and incoming inquiries to the sales team, and acting as a liaison for marketing in respect to product promotions and rental programs.
  • Create weekly management reports and provide updates to the President.
  • Ensures all activity and customer transactions are performed within Company's safety policies.
  • Additional responsibilities may include picking up and delivering equipment, stocking and maintaining inventory, loading and unloading equipment, and/or performing basic maintenance to equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the President.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years industrial rental asset or boiler service experience
  • Excellent communication skills
