The Challenge

As a Tanker Technical Superintendent, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operations and maintenance of chemical tanker vessels. Your expertise will be critical in overseeing technical aspects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards, and optimising vessel performance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all technical aspects of the chemical tanker fleet.
• Monitor vessel performance, including maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking.
• Collaborate with the crew, suppliers, and external stakeholders to address technical challenges and ensure vessel safety and reliability.
• Develop and implement planned maintenance systems and schedules.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Assess and approve technical specifications for vessel repairs and upgrades.
• Monitor budget and costs related to technical operations.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

  About You

• You have sailed as an engineer
• Fluent in Italian
• In-depth knowledge of tanker vessel operations, including relevant rules and regulations, is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a powerful sense of accountability and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with planned maintenance systems and software is a plus.
• A positive and adaptable mindset to thrive in a rapidly growing and evolving organisation.
