Technical Superintendent – Hamburg

We are working exclusively with a Shipowner based in Hamburg who operate a fleet of Bulk Carriers. Due to expansion, they are looking to bring in a Technical Superintendent to the team.

The role itself will be managing a small section of vessels from the bulk fleet.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Technical Superintendent.
• Preferably Chief Engineer License.
• Experience with Bulk Carriers,
• Team spirit, commitment as well as proactive and independent work
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
• Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Good language skills (Spoken and written English, required, German although not required would be an advantage.)

Responsibilities

• Preparation of vessels budget, monitoring maintenance and OPEX throughout the year and end of year reporting of same.
• Preparation of Drydock, specification and follow up.
• Monitoring vessels performance throughout the year and ensuring that they remain within parameters given.
• Visiting vessels regularly and maintain a close cooperation with Masters/Chief Engineers to ensure vessels are at all times optimized for the companies commercial requirements.
