Technical Superintendent MPP

Faststream is working with a dynamic and rapidly expanding shipping company based in Cyprus. We are currently seeking a Technical Superintendent to join their team and oversee the technical management of a fleet of MPP vessels.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of their MPP vessels.
• Plan and coordinate vessel maintenance, repairs, and dry-dockings.
• Manage vessel budgets and control maintenance expenses.
• Ensure that all vessels comply with class and statutory requirements.
• Work closely with vessel crews and ensure that all safety, environmental, and quality procedures are followed.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimise vessel performance.
• Conduct regular vessel inspections and audits to identify potential problems and areas for improvement.
• Monitor vessel performance and provide technical support to vessel crews as required.

Qualifications:

• Sailed to the rank of 2nd or Chief Engineer.
• At least 5 years of experience in a technical superintendent or similar role within the shipping industry, with a focus on MPP vessels.
• Strong knowledge of vessel operations, maintenance, and repair.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations, including class and statutory requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
