Technical Superintendent (Tanker), Shanghai (3476)

Our client is an established ship manager, looking for a Technical Superintendent to join their team managing the tanker fleet from their Shanghai office.

Ensuring the technical management of your vessels in a safe, economical and effective manner, you will:

• Monitor the technical and operational condition and performance of vessels
• Promote and develop a strong safety and environmental culture, plus energy efficiency awareness on board
• Support the crew on board with technical and operational matters
• Arrange repairs and dry dockings in a timely and cost effective manner
• Ensure vessels are fully certified according to international standards and requirements

As a Chief Engineer of tankers for at least two years, it is essential to have experience as a Technical Superintendent of tankers (oil, chemical, asphalt carrier) of at least one year.  It is an advantage if candidates have experience of thermal oil heaters and Framo pump / screw pump.

Candidates already living in Shanghai or looking to return will be prioritised.
