JOB SUMMARY
The Technical Support Superintendent will be part of the The Technical Support team who oversees all aspects of fleet technical support. Their responsibilities include collecting and analyzing technical data, establishing technical management standards, researching and investigating technical issues, and managing technical contracts.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:-

  • Hold a Class I or Class II level Certificate of Competence (Engine) with Advanced Tanker Safety Training (Gas, Liquid or Chemical) or hold an engineering degree qualification
  • 3+ years’ experience in in the technical department of a comparable shore organisation or a recognised marine industry entity
  • Experience as 2nd (1st Assistant) Engineer on LNG/LPG, Liquid or Chemical Vessels

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:-

  • Maintain the Technical Support Sheet of all recommendations from incident investigations and requirements from SMS changes, and to ensure that these are implemented on the ships.
  • Assist the Vessel Manager in such duties as the preparation of specifications and supervision of dry dock work
  • Collect, keep, update and share the technical and environmental information, technical data and Class information
  • Support  the Voyage Manager in analysing vessel performance
  • Assist in analysing existing and negotiation of new contracts with suppliers as requested
  • Participate in working groups set up by charterers and owners as requested
  • Assist in the reviews of STANDARD OPEX as requested
  • Assist in the preparation of environmental data
  • Assist Vessel Managers and Data Quality Analysts in the implementation and maintenance of NiBiKi PMS
