Technical Support Superintendent (Engine)

Are you a seasoned Marine Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Naval Architect seeking a stimulating role in technical support within the maritime industry? Our esteemed ship-owning client is hiring for a Technical Support Superintendent to base in their Singapore office. In this position, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational efficiency and maintenance excellence of the fleet's engines.

Your responsibilities will include planning and executing vessel surveys and repairs, conducting engine room inspections, addressing engine-related issues, and collaborating with the Class to assess necessary repairs. You will develop maintenance and repair manuals based on known and common engine issues encountered.

• Qualifications in Marine Engineering/Naval Architecture or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience, specifically with large 2 and 4-stroke engines.
• Strong knowledge of engine optimisation methods, monitoring tools, mechanical, hydraulic, piping, and ER systems.
• Understanding of QHSSE standards.
• Preferably, previous sea-going experience, particularly as a Chief Engineer or with Electrical and Dual-fuel engines, would be advantageous.
• Membership in relevant professional bodies like CIMAC, IMarEST, or RINA is preferred.
• Prior experience as a mechanical superintendent within a shipping company or engine manufacturer is highly valued.
