K Line orders LNG carrier

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, (K Line) has fixed a 15-year long-term LNG time charter contract with an option to extend the contract up to 10 additional years with Mitsubishi Corporation subsidiary Diamond Gas International and has signed a shipbuilding contract with Samsung Heavy Industries for a 174,000 cu m LNG carrier. The ship will deliver in the second half of 2026.

K Line’s current medium-term management plan positions LNG as one of its top priority areas for future investment.
