Meadway bags Oshima ultramax

Greece’s Meadway Shipping has bought the three-year-old, Oshima-built Nord Amazon, an ultramax which it is now renaming Utopia. No price has been revealed for the ship.

Meadway is a fan of Oshima tonnage. Earlier this month the company contracted the Japanese yard again to build a 42,300 bulk carrier, a second ship on order at Oshima.

Meadway now has nine newbuildings scheduled to be delivered between 2024 and 2026.
