N-Sea takes over compatriot survey vessel provider Geo Plus

Dutch subsea services specialist N-Sea Group has acquired the Groningen-based survey vessel provider Geo Plus.

Geo Plus operates a fleet of five highly specialised survey vessels, which are currently operating on long-term projects in Europe and the Middle East. The fuel-efficient vessels are capable of conducting all types of geophysical surveys and inspection activities.

Currently, Geo Plus owns and operates the Geo Ranger, Geo Focus, Geo Explorer, Geo Motion, and Geo Connection survey vessels.

In January this year, N-Sea took the hybrid survey and ROV support vessel Geo Ranger on a long-term charter. It joined the Geo Focus which has been under N-Sea management and control since January 2022.

According to N-Sea, this acquisition will play a key role in realising its ambition to become the subsea services contractor of choice. By acquiring Geo Plus, N-Sea increases its capacity and capabilities in the field of shallow-water hydrographic surveys.

Geo Plus will become a member of the N-Sea Group but will continue to operate as an independent company out of the same office in Groningen and with the same team.
