China Shipping Development has announced that it has appointed Sun Jiakang, as the new president of the company to take over Xu Lirong, who will quit from the role to focus on the merger work within China Cosco Shipping Group.
Sun is also serving as vice general manager of China Cosco Shipping Group.
In the meantime, the board of China Shipping Development proposed to change the company name to Cosco Shipping Energy Transportation as the company will be focused on oil shipping and LNG shipping upon completion of the merger between Cosco Group and China Shipping Group.
