New head of E&S Tankers appointed

E&S Tankers, a joint venture of Stolt-Nielsen subsidiary Stolt Tankers and Germany’s John T. Essberger Group, has appointed Malte Willer as its new managing director.

Willer will take over from Jan Eghøj, who is leaving the company by mid-August.

“Malte Willer has a strong knowledge of the European chemical tanker market and together with the rest of the E&S team will continue the strategic path to remain the market leader in the European short sea market,” the company said on social media.

In addition to Willer, E&S has named Christian Vang as its new commercial director, heading the chartering department, after previously managing all spot activities within the company.

E&S Tankers was officially launched in January 2021. The company operates nearly 50 parcel tankers ranging in size from 2,800 to 11,300 dwt, trading in Europe, particularly within the Baltic, Mediterranean and Northwest Europe.

“We are convinced that Malte Willer and Christian Vang, with more than 40 years of combined experience in the industry, are the right candidates to further drive and develop the business,” E&S Tankers noted.
