Cyan Renewables teams with Ocean Infinity for Asia Pacific offshore wind projects

Singapore-based offshore wind vessel player Cyan Renewables and offshore robotic ship operator Ocean Infinity have joined forces to provide services for offshore wind projects in the Asia Pacific region.

The companies have signed a memorandum of understanding formalising their commitment to work together on delivering geophysical and geotechnical surveys, as well as remotely operated vehicle (ROV) inspections and consultancy services.

The partnership will combine Cyan’s local networks across Asia with Ocean Infinity’s technology-enabled lean-crewed marine data services, which the duo said could be widely adopted to accelerate the expansion of the offshore wind industry in the region.

“Teaming up with Cyan Renewables means we can turbocharge our efforts in the Asia-Pacific region, bringing our cutting-edge marine tech to the forefront of offshore wind projects, said Maxime Even, commercial director at Ocean Infinity, adding: “It’s all about pushing boundaries by bringing in new tech and leaving a lasting impact with better results for end clients.”

“By harnessing Ocean Infinity’s innovative marine robotics technology alongside Cyan Renewables’ sector expertise and network, we are confident in the positive impact this collaboration will have on advancing offshore wind initiatives in Asia and contributing to a greener future,” added James Chern, chairman at Cyan and chief investment officer of the company’s parent, Seraya Partners.

Ocean Infinity’s lean-crewed ship Armada 7804 recently visited Singapore and is set to begin its commercial projects in the region shortly.
