Description
- Responsible for the daily cargo operations which include the scrutiny of contracts, preparation activities relating to payment security, documentation, insurance, survey, agency appointment, etc.
- Implementation of trading operations for spot and term contracts
- Liaise closely with external stakeholders, including but not limited to terminal owners and counterparties on timely product loading/discharging activities
- Ensure timely updates of trade information in the trading system
- Ensure smooth running of trade finance and billing-related activities
- Prepare, monitor, and verify invoices and documents for payment
- Accurately analyse and calculate demurrage with owner and counterparties
- Maintain the database of operational information daily for analysis and reporting purposes
- Ensure e-filing & documentation for each contract are done in a timely and accurate manner
- Collaborate with team members and build productive working relationships with internal stakeholders i.e. Traders, Shipping Dept, Contracts/legal, finance, terminals, and any concerned teams
- Maintain excellent relationships with counterparties
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team
Requirements
- O&G experience is preferred.
- Prior shipping operations experience in the oil or tanker industry will be an advantage.
- Knowledgeable and good understanding of shipping operations in the oil or tanker industries.
- Storage management/blending experience is an added advantage.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and quantitative skills.
- Proven team player, proactive.
- Able to manage time well, work under pressure and multi-task.
