Maersk Drilling awarded jackup contract by Petrogas

Maersk Drilling has been awarded a contract by Petrogas North Sea to drill an appraisal well at the Birgitta field, located in the central part of the UK North Sea.

The $7.6m contract is expected to commence in March 2020, and has an estimated duration of 70 days. An option is available for an additional 20 days.

Maersk Drilling said it has yet to decide which jackup rig will be utilised for the project.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
