Mainprize Offshore orders six CTVs from Strategic Marine

UK-based crew transfer vessel operator Mainprize Offshore has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Singapore-based shipbuilder Strategic Marine for the construction of six CTVs.

The deal for the construction of the six supa-swath-model vessels comes with an option for an additional six vessels.

The MoU was signed after the recent delivery of two such Strategic Marine-built vessels to Mainprize Offshore.

According to Strategic Marine, the supa-swath catamaran design provides improved stability, making them ideal for operations in demanding environments as well as enabling the vessel owner to support a wide range of maritime activities, including transportation, offshore support, and research.

Mainprize Offshore operates crew transfer vessels and services offshore wind farms throughout the UK and Europe. The company operates vessels that serve leading global offshore wind players such as Vestas, Vattenfall, Orsted, and RWE.
