Solstad wins multiple vessel contracts in Brazil

Norwegian vessel owner Solstad Maritime has secured multiple contracts from Brazil’s Petrobras, worth a total of around NOK2.6bn ($243m).

The contracts, announced by Solstad Offshore which holds a 31.6% stake in Solstad Maritime, are set to start in the second half of 2024 and the first half of 2025.

Specifically, Petrobras has contracted the construction support vessel Normand Poseidon and the anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) units Normand Sagaris and Normand Ferking.

The Normand Poseidon has been fixed for a four-year term in continuation of its current charter with Petrobras, while the AHTSs have secured a three-year contract each.

“We have worked with Petrobras since 1996 and Solstad is well positioned to take on more work in the buoyant Brazilian offshore market,” said Lars Peder Solstad, CEO at Solstad Offshore.
