Subsea 7 and SLB alliance wins more work off Turkey

Subsea Integration Alliance, a non-incorporated tie-up between Subsea 7 and SLB’s OneSubsea has secured a new contract from Turkish Petroleum for work on the Sakarya field development in the Black Sea.

The contract worth up to $500m involves the installation of Turkey’s first floating production unit. It follows an initial engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract awarded in May 2023 to a consortium including SLB, Subsea Integration Alliance and Saipem.

The extended work scope will include the installation and integration of risers, umbilicals, hook-ups and mooring systems with the FPU. Project management and engineering will be coordinated through the Subsea 7 office in Istanbul.

Detailing the first contract last May, Subsea 7 said the offshore work on the first phase is expected between the second and third quarters of 2025, while the optional scope, which has now been called, should take place between the fourth quarter of 2026 and the fourth quarter of 2027.
