X-Press Feeders returns to Shanghai Waigaoqiao for 10,000 teu series

X-Press Feeders has signed a letter of intent for four conventionally fuelled 10,000 teu ships with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS), according to MB Shipbrokers, formerly Maersk Broker. The deal covers the last 2027 container slots at SWS with the ships priced at $115m per unit. 

MB Shipbrokers is predicting a high level of activity in the coming weeks as buyers scramble to secure the last 2027 newbuilding slots in Asia.

Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) is in discussions with yards in Asia about additional 15,000 teu units according to the Danish broking house.
