A former senior procurement office at Singapore’s Keppel Shipyard pleaded guilty on Friday to 54 charges of corruption and money laundering after taking more than S$700,000 ($515,000) in bribes.
Neo Kian Siong, 63, took the bribes over period of 14 years. Sentencing is expected on April 17. He remains out on bail of S$50,000.
Neo was contacted often while at Keppel by suppliers seeking to find out quotations from rivals to undercut them.
