Van Phong port complex restarts construction
A long-stalled port project in central Vietnam is set to reopen. Nha Trang Port JSC will build two terminals in Van Phong Bay near the beach resort city of Nha Trang taking on a development that state-run Vinalines quit six years ago while fighting enormous financial difficulties.
Nha Trang Port JSC plans to add another two terminals – capable of handling ships of up to 15,000 teu – to the port development after 2020.
Van Phong International Transshipment Port wasVietnam’s biggest port project when it was first approved in 2007.
