Busan, South Korea’s second city, will get a new sizeable ship repair facility. The government has outlined plans to build a yard on the outskirts of the port with two drydocks and a floating dock. The aim is to get the repair site up and running by 2020 with construction starting next year.
The government has budgeted around $450m for the project, which is designed to further boost Busan’s bid to be an international maritime centre.
