Diana Shipping newcastlemax pair delayed
Greek dry bulk specialist Diana Shipping has said that it has agreed some amendments to shipbuilding contracts which delays the delivery of two newcastlemax vessels.
The agreement, with China Shipbuilding Trading Company and Jiangnan Shipyard, has pushed back the delivery date of the first vessel from September 2016 to December 2016 and the second vessel from November 2016 to March 2017.
Diana Shipping said that the addenda are subject to the construction completion of the vessels, indicating that the yard is likely responsible for the delays. However, no financial details of the amendments were revealed.
Diana currently has a fleet of 46 vessels.
