South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard is rapidly building up a reputation as a builder of LNG-fuelled vessels. It has just won an order to build a 7,500 cu m LNG bunkering vessel from Bernhard Schulte of Germany. The contract comes with one option. The firm ship – which is 117 m long – is slated for delivery in the second half of 2018.
Hyundai Mipo is also building a revolutionary LNG-fuelled bulker for a subsidiary of Korean steel mill, Posco.
