Offshore driller Noble Corporation has sealed a long-term deal with ExxonMobil for drillship Noble Bob Douglas as well as extended a contract with Hess for semi-submersible rig Noble Paul Romano, the company revealed in its latest fleet status report.
The 2013-built drillship Noble Bob Douglas will commence work for ExxonMobil off Guyana in either the first or second quarter of 2018 for a period of three years. The day rate for the contract was not revealed.
Meanwhile, Hess has extended its contract with Noble for 1989-built semi-submersible rig Noble Paul Romano, operating in the US Gulf of Mexico, from early October 2017 through to late December 2017. The day rate on the rig will drop from $128,500 per day to $115,000 per day.
