TOTE Maritime says its San Juan terminal in Puerto Rico is nearing full productivity
Princeton, New Jersey-headquartered shipping company TOTE Maritime, one of the major Jones Act companies that has traditionally supplied Puerto Rico, declared its terminal at the Port of San Juan is approaching a return to full productivity.
On Wednesday it declared that its operations on the Caribbean island, which were severely disrupted by last month’s Hurricane Maria, are now at 87% of normal productivity. It said that on Monday 330 loads left the port and headed inland where devastated communities are in need of relief and essentials to help them survive and rebuild.
Tote is liaising with charities, plus federal and Puerto Rican government agencies to help the supply chain recover.
