Nordic American Tankers (NAT) has announced that it plans to sell three of it older suezmax vessels.
This follows the company’s June 1 decision to sell two other suezmaxes for around $9.5m each.
In the latest announcement the company said that by the agreement the three latest sales – of ships that are at least 20 years old – would be made “at the same price level as the first two ones”.
That would add up to almost $50 million in total ship sales for NAT over the past fortnight.
The NYSE-listed company, headquartered at Sandefjord in Norway, is planning to re-expand its fleet with three newbuildings from a South Korean shipyard later this year.
