Sun sets for former Chinese yard highflyer
The career of Sun Bo, once one of China’s brightest shipbuilding stars, is now firmly over. The deputy head of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) has been expelled from the Communist Party and sacked for alleged “serious violations of party discipline and causing great damage to the national interest”.
Sun has been found guilty of trading power for financial gain and accepting bribes, according to the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
Sun was first detained in June, suspected of “disciplinary violations”.
